Shoot on location at the stunning Glen House
, on the Glen Estate, Innerleithen, Scottish Borders. Glen House, the farm and the cottages were built in the 19th century by the Scottish industrialist, Charles Tennant. Tennant family remains here to this day.
This was the first photoshoot we were to undertake at Stewart Christie & Co, on what can only be described as an atmospheric and ever changing day. The weather certainly played in our favour, with the shifting light and drifting clouds, keeping the mood changing from one moment to the next. It was also our first time working with Photographer Richard Shultz, who is based in Boston, Massachusetts. We had met him briefly for an introduction, and after long chats, it was decided that after his final trip back from working on a shoot on the Isle of Skye, we should do a little project together before he returned home to Boston.
We packed the car with an array of Stewart Christie & Co styled outfits both new and archive, to show the diversity of the ever changing nature of the company. There was a timeless elegance to the whole day and we named the shoot, aptly, "Bridging the gaps between generations."
It has to be our favourite shoot even though we have done many since. Richard captured the narative of the Stewart Christie & Co ethos perfectly, we hope we are fortunate enough to work with him again soon.
Thank you to our team of models who were able to come at such short notice: Tabitha, Cathy, Thomas and Auste from Glasgow based modelling agency Colours Agency
and the beautiful Bronwyn Crowther and her father Phil too. It felt like the whole family was represented in the story, and all enjoyed the moment.
Special thanks to the Tennant Family for being so helpful and accommodating.
