Glencoe 

Shot on location at Glencoe Ballachulish, the Scottish Highlands. With the epic scenery of Glencoe as a backdrop and the damp Scottish weather, this was the perfect place to test the Stewart Christie outdoor collection, which stood-up very well to the challenge!  On the day, we travelled north from the Stewart Christie & Co Edinburgh store at 6am to the predicted haar of Glencoe. We pondered at Achallader and splashed around at Glen Etive with our dear friend and model Danny Scrimshaw and the wonderful photographer Laura Meek, to shoot in what is quite simply our favourite surroundings. The Stewart Christie team don't remember laughing as much on any previous photoshoot, but as well as a successful day, we had a lot of fun and as the darkness set in and it was time to head home in the pouring but typically Scottish rain. Models wear a selection from the Stewart Christie & Co. Collection including: Our beautiful single breasted summer tweed suit in brown and stone Glen Urquhart check. The first of the soft-shouldered, lightly tailored collection from Stewart Christie & Co. The full length, double sided rain coat with raglan sleeves is also worn by Alexander McCall Smith in our creative profile. It can be seen tweed side out in this feature and is made from 16oz borders tweed in charcoal with a showerproof, heavyweight cotton twill. As always, our garments are British made, and even in the misty depths of Glencoe proved to keep even the worst Scottish weather at bay.

Accessories: The Fulton Minister umbrella with its full length staff, wooden handle and a canopy big enough for two. Harris Tweed, eight panel, button topped Baker Boy cap as worn by Ewan McGregor. Designed and made by Olney, it has a shaped peak and rear band to give a natural, comfortable and snug fit that will compliment any outfit. To finish off the outfit you can see our Borders knitted double-sided wool tie, with peaked tip. Reversible for those who can't make up their minds (a bit like the Scottish weather).
