Career
A career lasting 52 years as an Actor so far. IMDB website for full details as I can’t remember.
What was your most memorable role and film?
I suppose the role of Campbell in Braveheart. It made such a difference to my career.
What would be your dream production?
A film directed by Danny Boyle and working with Mathew McConochie.
Favourite Scottish phrase/word?
"That’ll wake you up in the mornin’ boy" ( cause I wrote it)...
What does Scotland mean to you as far as the creative industry is concerned?
Scotland is home to huge pool of talent, just wish we had a studio complex to work in.
What was your most challenging role/scene?
My one man film “The Pyramid Texts”.
You are considered "The Godfather" of Scottish film, but who have been some of your biggest influences in your career?
No particular role model.
Who is your ultimate fashion icon?
Having worked in Italy last year for four months, it looks like every guy in Rome. I love their expression “Bella figura".
